The idea of going somewhere different is always exciting, at least for me it is. This time the place decided upon was London Wetland Centre. It is located a stones throw away from Barnes, which is on the bank of the Thames, and only a few miles from central London. The day was bitterly cold and dull with rain threatening throughout the day.
This was an interesting moment as I was actually walking from one hide to another. Fortunately I was able to drop my bag and grab the shot of these magnificent swans leaving for a day out.
There seemed to be lots of preparation going on for the construction of nests. This black swan was taking time out while his partner continued with the building work.
Just couldn’t resist taking shots of this bird.
As the afternoon arrived so did lower body temperatures and the need to get back to the car. What a good decision that was because no sooner arriving at the car than it actually started to rain.
