Spring has sprung

Just a few weeks ago we were in the midst of terrible floods. People were suggesting that it would take weeks or even months for things to return to normal. Certainly structural damage will take many months, if not longer, to be rectified. However, in the vast majority of places nature is getting to grips with putting things back in order.

Last week I spent a day at the botanical gardens, RHS Wisley, marvelling at the changes that were taking place. Gardening staff were busily tidying up borders, shrubs, hedges and trees. At the same time nature was pushing ahead with the transformation we take for granted – Springtime.
